Culinary tip of the Day!

I’ll touch on many subjects but will try to talk about useful tips in the kitchen on a regular basis. Today’s tip: stop that sliding cutting board.

Who doesn’t find it obnoxious when you’re trying to dice an onion, you’re already crying because of the potent veggie, and now you find that your cutting board won’t stay still. Not only is a sliding cutting board annoying, but it’s certainly not the safest scenario.

There are many products out there that can help solve this problem. Non-slip cutting boards, non slip matts, as well as footed cutting boards. Well, when this sliding scenario happens you won’t be in any position to stop what your doing and go find a nonslip mat at the closest Bed and Bath. I’ll make this more simple for you.

Take a paper towel, either a leaf or two, and dampen it in the sink. Now lay it flat on the counter and place your cutting board over it.
Problem solved! Try it, it works and there is no reason to spend money on a non slip mat. Money saved, and so are your nerves and fingers.
