I’ve joined forces with some other Indiana Bloggers as part of the #indybloggersseries for January 2016, #cozyinindiana. Check out this series hashtag on social media for some other awesome Indianapolis blogger content.
Winter has been pretty kind up until recently. We went from unusually warm temperatures to bitterly cold. All I want to do is snuggle up in a blanket and nibble on sweets until spring arrives. Jack Frost has been unusually cruel this week, and the kitchen sink pipes even froze. I could have spent the evening grunting and groaning, absolutely refusing to crawl into that dark dank crawl space, but decided a cocktail was in order. Something cozy and delicious to take the edge off the bitter nights that have come our way.
Indiana has had a fairly mild winter until now, so I can stay positive and use the frigid temperatures as an excuse to indulge and develop comforting recipes to get us through to warmer weather. Tomorrow is a new day, and cheers to enjoying the coziness of warm blankets, the glow of the tv screen, and a tasty cocktail in hand. I’ve developed the cozy take on a White Russian cocktail using the Eggnog Butterscotch Sauce I cooked up last week. It really made the evening better, and I hope this little glass of heaven will do the same for you.
Cheers Mr. Freeze Meister! Now thaw out my pipes a little, pretty please. #cozyi
