Nutella Buttercream Frosting Recipe

Nutella Buttercream Frosting Confectionalism.com

There are soooo many different kinds of frostings. Flavors galore- swiss meringue buttercream, Italian Meringue Buttercream, Simple, Complex, stiff and smooth. Well, I’ve swam the sea of icings, and I have to say that this could be the holy grail of simple buttercream.

It is simple to create, yet complex in flavor. Smooth and soft yet holds it’s shape, and not too sweet. I really hope you enjoy slathering this on everything, as much as I do. Please do, because otherwise I might start to feel guilty about my new obsession.

This is the frosting of choice for my Chocolate Blueberry Cupcakes.

  1. Place the butter and Nutella in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment.

  4. Add the vanilla once all the powdered sugar has been incorporated.
